The Doctors and Staff at ETVC are taking the COVID-19 outbreak very seriously. The health of our employees, clients, and patients remain our priority during this stressful time. We are taking several precautions that we wanted to inform you of.
As of Monday April 27th, we will be REDUCING our hours. Our new hours will be M-F 8:00am- 4:00pm. (Closed Monday 12-1:30 for staff development) However, as this situation continues to develop our services and hours of operation may change. Check out our website or follow us on Facebook and Instagram for further updates.
If you or a family member are ill or not feeling well, we ask that you try to avoid coming by the clinic. If necessary, have a healthy friend or neighbor bring your pet in the event that they need veterinary care. We are also asking that children be left at home as much as possible, in an attempt to protect them as well as others.
If you would feel more comfortable not waiting in our lobby while you are here, please feel free to call us from the parking lot and we will contact you when an exam room is available for you.
The staff are taking extreme measures to thoroughly clean all commonly touched surfaces multiple times daily. These surfaces include door knobs, counters, credit card readers, the coffee pot, etc. As always, exam rooms are cleaned after every patient is seen. Handwashing and hand sanitizer are available, and please feel free to use them. We also require a distance of 6 ft between all other persons.
Our doctors can be in contact with upwards of 30-40 people per day, and we are attempting to cut down the direct contact between clients. Therefore, we ask that you forgive us if we do not greet you with the normal handshake or hug.
There is much crossover between the medications used in veterinary medicine and human medicine, and it is likely some products will become unavailable as human consumption increases over the next several months. Please bear with us as we navigate these outages.
If you intend on buying food or medications in larger than normal quantities, please call and let our front desk staff know so that we can arrange it for you. Also, feel free to check out our online store, www.eastexvetstore.com to have food and preventatives shipped directly to your home.
Thank you for your understanding during these difficult times.
