Jason Richards, DVM
Originally from Woodbridge, Virginia, Jason Richards, DVM began practicing veterinary medicine at EasTex Veterinary Clinic in 2000. He earned a Bachelor of Science from West Liberty State College in December 1995. While at West Liberty, Dr. Richards was quarterback of the football team. In May 2000, he received his D.V.M. from Virginia Tech's Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Richards maintains professional affiliations with the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Texas Veterinary Medical Association.

Kevin Acuña, DVM
Dr. Kevin Acuña graduated from Texas A&M Veterinary College of Medicine in 2013. Dr. Acuña started as an associate veterinarian at EasTex Veterinary Clinic in the spring of 2013. Dr. Weatherly and Dr. Richards were both great mentors as Dr. Acuna transitioned back to his hometown.
Dr. Acuña met his wife Sara while attending undergraduate classes at Texas A&M. They were married in the spring of 2013. Sara and Kevin have two daughters, Maeson and Parker. Dr. Acuña enjoys the fast pace of EasTex Veterinary Clinic and in 2015 become partner with Dr. Richards. Dr. Acuña enjoys many aspects of the practice. From an examination of a new puppy to helping someone through the euthanasia process. Dr Acuña has realized that the true pleasure is from the relationships he has made with clients and patients over the years. Over the years he has added a total of 5 dogs, 1 cat, 1 rabbit, and too many chickens to count! |
Josh Haddox, DVM
Dr. Josh Haddox has been a part of the EasTex Veterinary Clinic team since June of 2018. Growing up in Martinsville, Texas, Dr. Haddox became very familiar with ETVC bringing all of his show hogs and steers to Dr. Richards and Dr. Weatherly. Dr. Haddox received his Bachelor of Science and his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M University. Although he enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, his special interests include: canine reproduction, emergency medicine, small and large animal surgery, helping students with FFA and 4H show animals, whitetail deer, and bird dogs. What a lot of people don't know is that before going to veterinary school, Dr. Haddox spent a year and a half working in the oilfields of Oklahoma, Colorado, and West Texas. Dr. Haddox married his high school sweetheart, Maegan, and they have a son, Stetson and two daughters, Shaina Rose and Sterling Elise. Dr. Haddox is a member at Fredonia Hill Baptist Church.
Cheryl Armstrong, DVM
Dr. Cheryl Armstrong holds a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine and a Bachelor's in Animal Science from Texas A&M University. Cheryl graduated from Carthage High School before pursuing her academic journey and has come back home to practice veterinary medicine in Nacogdoches. Alongside her professional pursuits, Cheryl is eagerly anticipating the arrival of her first child in the summer of 2024 with her husband, Ranzy Armstrong. When not at the clinic, she enjoys kayaking, hiking, listening to podcasts, and family/friend gatherings. |
Jackson Maddox, DVM
Dr. Jackson grew up on a small hobby farm in Start, Louisiana where his love for animals and veterinary medicine started. He earned his Bachelor of Science from Mississippi State University in 2018 and continued his education at the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating with his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Jackson moved to Nacogdoches, Texas to begin his career in mixed animal medicine with EasTex Veterinary Clinic. He and his wife have two children and attend Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Jackson enjoys the outdoors, hunting, fishing, home projects, and spending time with friends and family.
